Experience Chinatown Arts Festival 2020

This September, thousands enjoyed the annual Experience Chinatown Arts Festival. During the coronavirus crisis, Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood experienced the loss of businesses firsthand. Although restaurants have reopened, the neighborhood is still slow in recovery. In response, Experience Chinatown changed its format as it was transformed into a month-long event for uplifting Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood while ensuring health and safety for all.

Nearly 1,500 visitors enjoyed live music performances in Chin Park, a self-paced walk/run stopping by public art installations at local businesses and organizations, and contributed to a community sourced Love Letters to Boston Chinatown public mural. Thousands more enjoyed the art installations throughout the neighborhood. This event was organized as part of the We Love Boston Chinatown resiliency campaign, a partnership with community organizations, businesses, and residents that is working together to uplift the community and support local businesses.
