Join interdisciplinary artist Ying Ye as she travels through Chinatown on her Tofu Tricycle, a mobile seedbed for growing bean sprouts. Through this interactive performance, Ying will make surprise stops, engaging with onlookers and participants with movement-based storytelling, media, and conversation. This participatory performance brings together Chinese traditional aesthetics of gardening, street food tricycles, and collective food-making gatherings to activate Chinatown’s public spaces to foster cultural resilience and belonging.
